Wellbeing
WTG believes that individual and community wellbeing are connected. We aim to holistically address young people’s needs and our city’s workforce needs. WTG advocates for the mental health of young people as they develop local solutions to local issues such as economic mobility, educational equity, and environmental justice.
Why We Started
Working the Gap came about as youth researchers identified a mental health crisis among young people through the Youth Ask Youth census. NYC youth were not only asking for support with mental health and wellbeing, but to be a part of the solutions. To address this and the increasing underemployment of young people, Working the Gap began.
